These stick maps show the progression of the Paxtons Cave survey at various stages in the project. Note that the surveyed cave grew in a systematic way, and that there was no "booty scooping." All project participants agreed to complete the work in each survey area before progressing farther into the cave. This discipline meant that everyone had a chance to survey easy passage as well as the sleazy stuff, and was a major factor in the success of the project.
